The most expensive footballers play for Trencin

Trenčín has the most expensive footballers
The most expensive footballers in our top league can be found in Trenčín. It is the foreigners Lester Peltier, Jorge Salinas, and Aldo Báez who have the greatest potential to leave Slovakia for the highest price.
The Economic Daily, after the end of the autumn part of our league, looked at players who could be sold for the highest fee. We approached leading football agents in Slovakia, and most of them confirmed that in the team of the newly promoted top-flight club, the most expensive league player would be born in case of a transfer. The price for each of them could currently be around one million euros. Of this trio, there is the greatest interest in striker Peltier, who has already broken into the Trinidad and Tobago national team and is even wanted by clubs from the English Premier League. “Despite the fact that Trenčín is not at the top of the league table, these players are of high quality, and the club’s management will only let them go for a lot of money by our standards,” football agent Jozef Tokos told the Economic Daily.
Million-euro foreigners at the newcomer
The promoted team won only four matches in the autumn part of the season and currently sits in ninth place in the table. But Dutch owner Tscheu La Ling has managed to attract quality young players to the team. “Exactly like these three. Of them, I would highlight Peltier the most, who is wanted even in England. His value could be more than one million euros,” club general manager Róbert Rybníček told the Economic Daily. The Dutchman bought the Trenčín club four years ago.
Since then, the team has been focusing on young foreign players with great potential to be sold later for a lucrative sum. “The fact that we have a foreign owner is an added value for us. It is especially important when negotiating with European clubs. It is a huge advantage for us compared to other clubs,” added Rybníček. At present, it will be difficult for the newly promoted side to keep these three players.
There is interest mainly from three countries: besides the English Premier League, Russian clubs are in the mix, as well as teams from the Netherlands and even Poland. (...) The most realistic move appears to be to Russia, where Trenčín recently sold striker František Kubík, while Nigerian Fanendo Adi left for Ukraine. “If a concrete offer came from Russian clubs, we would certainly consider it,” said Rybníček.
