Three views on Tomas Oravec´s transfer to Viktoria Zizkov, everyone was trying to reach an agreement!

Tomas Oravec will be included in the Viktoria Zizkov squad travelling to a training camp in Portugal! To give you a better perspective on the issue, the Ruzomberok striker signed a one-year contract with this Gambrinus league team. Neither side could compromise as they first haven´t agreed on the contract conditions but this is history now as things have changed meanwhile – Yesterday, Tomas Oravec became a Zizkov player.

,,The reason why we first haven´t agreed wasn´t only because of the fact that in case of an attractive offer we weren´t going to try to prevent the player´s move to a foreign team. There was more to it,“ revealed Zizkov sports director Ivan Hornik yesterday afternoon. ,,We finally came to an agreement as both sides were willing to compromise. In this case our club didn´t have to exceed the financial limit, which it has to respect. I am glad that it turned out like this.“ Hornik isn´t even worried about Oravec taking advantage of the above mentioned clause in spring already. ..According to the new transfer rules where there are two deadlines I don´t think that this is something to worry about.“ Viktoria sports director was as well being quite quiet as to whether Oravec´s transfer has been the club´s largest expense in the past two years. ,,Although we have agreed on not providing further details on the trasnfer, I have to admit that this one was really one of the largest,“ he said. The officials usually do not reveal any other player´s benefits either. „We have some standards which we will fulfill. Our sponsors will take care of his satisfaction. However, I really can´t tell you what kind of a car he will be driving as I don´t know this myself.“ And how many goals does Hornik expect from his new signing? „We won´t be putting any pressure on him. We are aware of the time he needs to adapt. We have a certain system in our game which we will not be changing because of a single player. Should we do this, then just to emphasize his goalscoring abilities. We started off well, so his goals only could make it better. We didn´t forget about a bonus for the player in the contract, depending on the amount of goals he scores“, he added.

Jozef Tokoš´s point of view, player´s licensed agent

The whole strategy with Oravec leaving to Zizkov was managed by Jozef Tokos.(...) First negotiations haven´t ended successfully. „We went through all the details together. Several times,“ said Tokos. He stressed that after these unsuccessful negotiations there was no tension between himself and the player. He also mentioned that he wasn´t expecting further meetings with Zizkov officials. „The talks started over on Ivan Hornik´s initiative. Zizkov was shoving enormous interest in my player. In the final stage of our conversation both sides were willing to compromise and we finally reached an agreement." Tokos made the rough draft of the contract already on Tuesday night. Oravec was absent at that time as he was busy. He only arrived in Prag yesterday morning and confirmed everything with his signature before the team´s training. Everything went smooth, like Tokos planned. We wanted to know what kind of a share was Oravec´s agent given. "You will not get an answer to this question from any agent,“ says Tokos. „According to the new agents´ rules an agent is paid by the player. If you have a look at the contract itself, you will see the agent´s percentage.“ Well, did it differ from the real one? „I didn´t get what was stated in the contract.“ When asking about whether the actual amount was higher or lower he responded readily and diplomatically: „The agent´s profit is not interesting. What counts is the player´s satisfaction.“

He was getting up early yesterday. He had a long way to go. From the airport in Kosice he flew to Prague. We contacted him yesterday in the afternoon, after he had practised with his new team mates. Listening to his voice one could tell that he was happy. He only confirmed everything saying that his transfer was a good thing to do. ,,I am satisfied,“ he said. He wasn´t worried about being criticised after not agreeing the first time. „Well, they wouldn´t have contacted me the second time if they weren´t interested. But they did.“ He moved out from his old appartment in Ruzomberok. What place he will be getting in Prague he doesn´t know yet. What he knows though is that he will be by himself as his girlfiend will join him later. When talking about leaving Ruzomberok he says: „Without any problems. Now it is history. I shook hands with the club´s manager. He briefly describes his plans in his futur club. „I want to make the first team. As soon as I achieve this, I will start progressing.“ Tomas Oravec has already been to a training camp in Spindlerov Mlyn with his squad. Shortly after another signing from Slovakia joined the squad. „I should adapt faster with his arrival. It is easier when there are two together.“ He has also played a friendly game for Zizkov. It was against Jablonec. What does he think about the game style? „We played in full strength. Zizkov obviously has a good team. I will do my best to make us even stronger by scoring some goals.“
