Mucha will finally leave

(...)  Mucha’s current contract with Legia expires at the end of June next year. It is no secret that the best goalkeeper in the Polish Ekstraklasa has long been watched by representatives of several European clubs. According to our findings, a few months ago Legia rejected a concrete offer from French side Stade Rennais. Bordeaux also inquired about the Slovak, but they ultimately chose Cédric Carrasso from Toulouse.

Some time ago, Legia’s sporting director Miroslaw Trzeciak made the player an offer to extend his contract. The new deal would guarantee Mucha the highest wages in the team, slightly over one million zlotys per season. To clarify the future of the Slovak goalkeeper, we were the first in Poland to reach his agent, Jozef Tokos.

Mucha’s agent does not hide that the Legia player could change clubs in the next few weeks. “I assess Jan’s chances of a transfer in the winter window as very high. I won’t say, for example, 99 or 90 percent, because he could get injured next week and everything would change, but I think he will leave Legia soon,” Tokos said, revealing details of the negotiations with Trzeciak about extending the contract.

“If Mucha leaves Legia, he certainly won’t do it for free. He could sign with a new team on January 1, but we are approaching this fairly; after all, Janek owes a lot to this club. The reality, however, is that no club in Poland can offer him wages at the level of the five top leagues in Europe. Legia officials should understand that and not blame the player for wanting to leave. I realize their club is fighting for the Polish championship, but everyone looks after their own interests. Besides, my relations with Mr. Trzeciak, Miklas, and Ostrowski are really ideal,” assures Mucha’s manager.
