Goalkeeper Mucha: Not even €350,000 will keep him at Legia!
Zdroj: Novy CasPolish football club Legia Warsaw is trying at all costs to keep its biggest star, Slovak goalkeeper Jan Mucha (27).
Club owner Mariusz Walter wants to improve his contract, valid until the end of June next year, by €350,000. But not even this amount of money will convince the Slovak international to stay. “The priority is a transfer. Already now, during the winter break,” declared the player’s agent Jozef Tokos.
Slovakia’s number one goalkeeper is currently enjoying a well-deserved holiday. However, as Mucha himself revealed in the Polish media, before leaving for Egypt he had a meeting with the Legia owner, who tried to persuade him to stay at the club at least until the end of June. Had Mucha agreed, €350,000 would have been added to his account. But the Slovak goalkeeper currently has another priority – a transfer to one of Europe’s six top leagues. Moreover, he knows very well that in those competitions he would earn much more than what Legia is offering.
“It’s true that interest in Janko’s services is very strong. A lot of clubs are being mentioned in the media. I can confirm responsibly that he has been scouted by French side Rennes and German side Hannover. A decision will be made after the holidays,” said Mucha’s agent Jozef Tokos. Regarding the widely reported interest of one of England’s big clubs – Arsenal – Tokos diplomatically remained silent. “But I can reveal that Janko’s dream is to play in the Premier League,” the agent added.
