Slovaks saw Mucha in Arsenal

In the sports news of one Slovak television station, it was reported that Legia goalkeeper Jan Mucha (27) had just left for trials with Arsenal London. The Slovak goalkeeper’s agent, however, denies it. “That’s complete nonsense!” says Jozef Tokos.

The information about Mucha’s trial at Arsenal immediately appeared on some Polish websites, sparking understandable interest from Legia officials. The club’s sporting director, Miroslaw Trzeciak (43), even called Tokos to ask if it was true.

“That’s complete nonsense. I spent the whole day today with Janek in Slovakia. I can assure you he hasn’t gone to any trial, certainly not to Arsenal,” the agent of Jan Mucha told Fakt. Jozef Tokos could not explain where such a rumor originated.

The Legia goalkeeper, who has recently drawn interest from Ligue 1’s 17th-placed team Le Mans, has never hidden that his greatest sporting dream is to play in the English Premier League. But it looks like the Slovak will have to wait a little longer to see that dream come true. After all, Arsenal already has two Polish goalkeepers in its squad – Lukasz Fabianski (25) and Wojciech Szczesny (20).
