Agent Tokos: “Mucha did not travel for a trial with Arsenal”
Zdroj: SITASlovak football goalkeeper Jan Mucha Jr., playing for Polish side Legia Warsaw, did not travel on Tuesday, January 5, for any trial with English club Arsenal London. Late Tuesday evening, the player’s agent, 27-year-old goalkeeper’s representative Jozef Tokos, confirmed this to the SITA agency. “The whole thing is absolute nonsense. I have no idea where Slovak Television got this information, which is completely untrue. I physically spent the entire day today with Janko Mucha, and he is currently in Slovakia. A trial not only with Arsenal London but with any other club is out of the question,” firmly denied all reports about the Slovak national team’s first-choice goalkeeper being tested by the Gunners, Jozef Tokos.
After Mucha’s excellent performances in Poland and in the Slovak national team during World Cup 2010 qualifying, there has been strong interest in his services. In recent days, French club Le Mans has shown the most interest. The goalkeeper from Bela nad Cirochou, who previously played in Slovakia for Humenne, Inter Bratislava, and Zilina, has also appeared on the list of potential reinforcements for Olympiakos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Athens, CSKA Moscow, Paris St. Germain, Stade Rennes, FC Toulouse, and Hannover 96. Legia would also like to keep Mucha and has offered him a new contract worth 350,000 euros per year.
