Mucha did not start training with Legia. He is negotiating a transfer
Zdroj: Pravda, Michal ZemanSlovak national team goalkeeper Jan Mucha did not join Legia Warsaw’s preparations, which began yesterday. His agent Jozef Tokos confirmed for Pravda that he was not in Warsaw on Thursday, missed the first training session, and is negotiating a possible transfer to another club.
“Until the negotiations are concluded, I cannot provide further information,” added Tokos, who did not specify either the clubs or the country from which interest in the 27-year-old goalkeeper had come. “But Mucha is certainly not on trial and has never been. We would not agree to that. We said this some time ago, and it still stands.”
According to Tokos, it is not excluded that Mucha could finish this season with his current Polish club. “There are still several options. He could transfer, or he could go on loan. A decision will definitely be made soon,” stated the agent.
As is known, several clubs have shown interest in Mucha in recent weeks. Among them were especially English teams Stoke City, Tottenham Hotspur, as well as the Scottish giant Glasgow Rangers.
His current Polish employer offered the Slovak goalkeeper, who shone in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, a new contract that would secure him an annual salary of 350,000 euros. Mucha’s contract with Legia expires in the summer of this year.
