Two options for Mucha

Everton and Wigan are the two Premier League clubs with which Legia goalkeeper Jan Mucha held negotiations last week – according to our findings.

It is not excluded that the Slovak may still leave the Warsaw club during this transfer window. However, it is not certain that he will go specifically to England. The initiative for a possible transfer did not come from the mentioned clubs, but from his agent Jozef Tokos, who also offered Mucha to Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Neither Mucha nor his agent are disclosing any details or confirming our information. “I can only say that there is nothing new in this matter. Neither today nor tomorrow will Jano sign any contract. There is still plenty of time until the end of the transfer window, and it’s difficult to predict what might happen,” said Tokos.

The problem is that at the moment, Mucha would not have much chance of playing in the starting eleven either at Wigan or at Everton. And with the World Cup in South Africa approaching, that is what matters most to him.

Whatever happens with Mucha, the club’s management is already preparing for his departure and considering replacements. One option is the return of Wojciech Skaba from his loan spell at Polonia Bytom. But that is not the only possibility. It is also possible that Wojciech Kowalewski, who yesterday terminated his contract with Iraklis Thessaloniki, could receive an offer to return to Warsaw. “So far no one from Legia has contacted me, but I am open to a proposal,” said the goalkeeper.
