Slovak goalkeeper Ján Mucha jr. may spend the remainder of this season on loan at a top South European club

Although Ján Mucha jr. has already signed a contract with a new, undisclosed club, a loan move until the end of the current season is still under consideration in one of the top leagues in southern Europe. “Janko is considering the possibility of a temporary loan. Only clubs from the strongest leagues, specifically in southern Europe, are being considered,” said his agent Jozef Tokos.

Mucha’s current club, Legia Warsaw, could receive a significant fee for such a loan, partially softening the disappointment of the club’s management, as Slovakia’s number-one goalkeeper will leave for his new club on July 1 without any transfer compensation. Polish and British media report that the 27-year-old from Belej nad Cirochou is set to join Premier League side FC Everton this summer. Many other clubs had long shown interest in his services.

“However, a loan does not depend solely on him. Legia’s representatives would also need to agree to the terms. There is still about a week and a half left in the transfer window for everything to be finalized. Janko will only move to a club where he is guaranteed to play immediately and be the first-choice goalkeeper,” added Jozef Tokos.
