Weiss wants Mucha at Kairat. I also have other offers, says the goalkeeper

Vladimír Weiss, the new coach of Kazakh club Kairat Almaty, wants to bring Slovak footballers goalkeeper Ján Mucha and defender Ľubomír Michalík to his team. Until recently a key player for the Slovak national team, Mucha still has a valid contract with Everton until the summer. “I spoke with him, and he would like to come to us. The problem is his current contract. If Everton signs another goalkeeper during this transfer window, we could count on Mucha. If it doesn’t happen now, he could join us in the summer, if he is still interested,” Weiss explained on the club’s website.

Mucha’s agent Jozef Tokos does not want to comment on the situation yet. “I can only say that at the moment the club will not release Mucha. What happens next remains to be seen,” Tokos briefly responded. Mucha himself also does not want to draw any conclusions yet. “I do not deny that I spoke with coach Weiss, but everything is still open. I also have other offers,” he said in an interview yesterday.

At Everton, alongside the clear first-choice keeper, American Tim Howard, there is only one other goalkeeper, the 30-year-old native of Belá nad Cirochou. If the club were to sign another goalkeeper before the end of this transfer window (January 31), Mucha’s chance to leave could become more realistic. (...)
