Gáspár flew to Japan to strengthen Vegalta Sendai

On Monday, Jozef Gáspár, the defender of Inter Bratislava, flew to Japan, where on Wednesday he will undertake medical tests in the second league club Vegalta Sendai. “If no problems appear, he should stay there. During the week, money should be even credited on the Inter account and if it happens, the transfer will be completed,” said Gáspár s manager Jozef Tokos for the SITA agency (…).

The 26 years old central back, whose contract with Inter is to expire in the summer, should stay in the Vegalta Sendai club till the end of the year 2004. Gáspár s new club was established in 1994. During a short living, the club gradually promoted to the first league. But in the last year it finished on the 15th place and relegated to the lower league. For the next season, Vegalta has again an ambition to be promoted.
