It is getting hotter after another two suits

A meeting between SFA director Vladimir Wanke, Juraj Czinege and his two licensed agents Jozef Tokos and Juraj Venglos in SFA offices has not yet brought a solution to the Czinege case. “Wanke, sports director, informed us that SFA acknowledged the contract being valid and therefore has not given out a player´s clearance yet. We are of a different opinion of course and applied to the International Football Federation waiting for a decision which should be made by FIFA soon. I hope they will make a statement until the end of this week,” said Juraj Venglos and added:”It is obvious that Inter owes Czinege money which was a clear reason why the player withdrew from the contract. The club has a different view on these things and it remains to be seen who is right. Usually an arbitrary commission decides about things like this but we don´t have one in Slovakia.”

There is nothing wrong with this statement. Time is what this Slovakia international is fighting for. He has not been in league action for more than a month, neither is he on the squad sheet for the Champions League. There is obviously a problem between him and his current club which will have to be resolved on court. The club brought a suit against the player first and then it turned out to be the other way around as well. If there would be an arbitrary commission to decide the player would by now know where he would be earning his money in future. Since there is no such commission in Slovakia, SFA which hasn´t given out a clearence yet had to deal with this matter. No matter what will happen, FIFA will have the last word here. Why has SFA acknowledged Czinege´s contract to be valid when it is obvious that Inter Bratislava owes money to the player which was the reason why he withdrew from the contract.

Vladimir Wanke talking about details:”Inter Bratislava made a complaint and took advantage of Slovak Law in order to doubt the other side´s argumentation.”Why has SFZ decided not to give out the player´s clearance though?” “The other party rightfully considered doubtful what Juraj Czinege quoted which was in accordance to Slovak Law and that is why they decided not to give him the clearance. Well, what does a lawsuit have to do with a decision by Slovak Football Association? “One contract partner disagreed with what the other party claimed. Very simple.” Honestly, we´re not much more clever than we were before and many things are still kept as a secret.

Juraj Czinege´s representatives took the initiative. “The association decided based on the documents which they had from Inter Bratislava as well as on the copies of the player´s contract withdrawal. No other meeting between Czinege and his managers took place. Sports director Wanke neither gave us a reason why the clearance hasn´t been given out, nor did he tell us any arguments. This decision of course has a big impact on Czinege´s future career as well as on the football situation in Slovakia as such. In fact, the player cannot sign a contract with GAK which obviously won´t allow him to receive his regular wage, nor any possible prize money for eventual Champions league matches. This is not a sports controversy so it shouldn´t have had to do with FIFA. The whole situation should normally be resolved here in Slovakia. This is all about whether or not a certain figure is high enough for a player to cancel the contract. If we take into consideration the civil code and the contract as such then we should have a clear result. Inter brought a suit against Czinege and demands his withdrawal from the contract to be given as not valid. Yesterday the player brought a suit in order to receive his money which the club owes him,” said Jozef Tokos, player´s licensed manager and solicitor.
