He has chosen the more difficult career path, the goalkeeper’s agent says

"I have decided to fight for my place,“ Jan Mucha used to say repeatedly on his situation in Everton FC. It is an extraordinary event for a Slovak football player to sign with an English Premier League club, not to mention goalkeepers. It is not simple to give up such a chance and change it for a certainty in a small club playing in a mediocre league. Mucha is under contract with Everton until the summer 2013. „He might play in the League Cup with Leeds later on this month. He has played Cup games so far so he is likely to keep playing while Everton is winning,“ Jozef Tokos, Mucha’s agent thinks. „It is very difficult for him in the league. Howard is no. 1 and the manager David Moyes trusts him. (...)“ Tokos confirms that he has already discussed Mucha’s future in the club. „Everton did not want to loan him, the early termination contract has also been ruled out. The only option was a transfer, but it did not happen. We should concentrate on the next winter transfer window (...)“ There were other offers for the Slovak goalie in the past. „However, he has chosen the more difficult career path“, the goalkeeper’s agent continues. „In 2010 he was on the point of signing with a Turkish club, but he eventually  has chosen the Premier League, the best league in the world. There is a big rivalry in the Premier League, excellent goalies, quality no. 2 goalies waiting for their chances. One can go over the list of Premier League clubs and look at the names of no. 1 and no. 2 goalies. When I repeatedly spoke to Mr Moyes, he never agreed to loan Jan. That would not be a solution for the club. They would have to look for another goalie.“
