Will Czinege get to Graz?

Juraj Czinege gave an official notice to his club on June 3rd. The reason for this was that Inter was not fulfilling its obligations to him. The General Manager from Pasienky, Jozef Barmoš, does not deny that aside from the base salary and bonus, the Inter player also had another unspecified income in his contract, which he has not yet received. From the football player’s point of view, it is a compelling reason for submitting a notice, but for the club it is only an attempt to avoid its responsibilities. Nobody knows who exactly will decide who is right. But each side hopes that the final decision will please them. Juraj Czinege, however, is not sitting and waiting for someone to offer him a lucrative offer abroad.

- Juraj Czinege: “I do not deny asking Juraj Vengloš for help while searching for a new club, but I don’t know how it is proceeding. He is abroad, so we are going to call each other today or tomorrow. So far I am waiting.”

- Juraj Vengloš, license manager of SFA (Slovak Football Association) states: “Czinege isn’t actually my player, he doesn’t have a manager and Jozef Tokoš is only his advisor for economic issues. The player asked me to help him to find a new employer and I didn’t refuse. I exploited my good connections in Austria and found out that GAK Graz are looking for a similar type of football player. Negotiations have already started, and I am assuming that everything will be finalized during the next week.”

- What do they know about Czinege in Graz? “The same as they know about our whole league – they have sufficient knowledge. Representatives of GAK have seen him several times in action, but the coach wants to meet him personally, as well. In the middle of the next week, we are going to Austria.”

Are the Austrians counting on getting our football player basically for free? They are interested in the player, but only time will tell how the situation relating to the realization of his transfer will end up. They know that he gave the notice to Inter, but they will still try to make an agreement with Inter. Graz don’t know whether Czinege has a contract or not, because none of those involved has confirmed either alternative. However, GAT would like to have a clear statement as soon as possible.”

- Jozef Tokoš, economic advisor for Juraj Czinege: “I am not trying to do anything with the player’s contract, because it doesn’t exist. Czinege gave his notice to Inter Bratislava and that’s it. He took the right step!”

But Jozef Barmoš, General Manager of the football club Inter, still maintains: “We insist on Czinege’s fulfillment of his responsibilities stated in his still valid contract!”

Well, Slovak football has another interesting case, and we are curious as to how it will end up, and whether Czinege will get to Graz. The important question is (especially for Inter), however, whether Czinege will leave in exchange for a decent severance pay or for free, as did Szilárd Németh when leaving to Middlesbrough.
