Jan stays in Legia in the spring

Nevertheless, two days later than planned,  the Slovak goalie Jan Mucha (27) turned up at a practise session of Legia Warsaw over the weekend. This is the club he is contractually bound with until June 30, 2010. His agent Jozef Tokos (34) disclosed whether his transfer from Poland was just about to be completed.

 

„Is our goalie going to transfer to Spain?“

Definitely not these days. He flew to Malaga with his Polish team.

 

„There have been clubs interested in Jan Mucha mentioned in the media recently. Can you confirm their names of rule them out?“

I can not disclose concrete clubs. I can only say that clubs from the best European leagues are interested in Jano. We have had a couple of meetings.

 

„How does the transfer situation look like?“

There are two weeks remaining in this transfer window in the majority of countries...

 

„Jano is in the training camp. Does that mean he stays in Legia in the spring.“

It is very likely.

 

„Can he stay in Poland for a longer time?“

I respect very much the generous offer from the Legia owner Mr Walter (annual sallary 350k euro was reported in the Polish press). Our priority is the transfer. At the moment there are 4 options.

 

„Which are?“

Jan signs a pre-contract with a new club effective as of July 1 and will be playing for Legia in the spring or loaned by other club. The third option is an immediate transfer. The last option is, say, he picks up an injury, noone wishes that, and prolongs the contract with Legia.

 

„ The most probable option?“

The first one. He agrees with a new club and stays in Legia in the spring.
