His career is just at the beginning. However, he has broken 3 records. No other Slovak football players achieved what Andrej did. Andrej Rendla is historically the youngest player and the youngest goal scorer in the Slovakian premier division. Moreover, no one transferred to a top European league in his age.

Rendla who is to be only 17 in October, is fully practising in the Dutch club Twente Enschede. Twente finished 4th in the Dutch league last year and will play in the UEFA Cup. „If you work hard and obey, you can be in Ajax in 3 years,“ welcomed him the head coach Rutten, laughing. The coach chose him. He is considered to be a coach who is fantastic at the work with young players. Last season he was chosen the second best Dutch coach.
„The first impressions were fine. Head coach? Good guy,“ responded the Slovak talented player after first discussions with Rutten. Before the contract was signed, the Dutch club had carefully examined Rendla, his health, made 14 X-rays, especially knees and back.
Initially, Rendla was looking other direction. He preferred the Italian club Udinese. „The Italians saw him repeatedly, sent a written offer,“ confirms the players agent Jozef Tokoš. „However, when the key decisions were to be made, they did not, to put it in football language, attack straight the goal, by comparison with the Dutch club. They allowed the player and his Dad to visit the club, to meet their reps. I am convinced that the Netherlands is a better choice. It is more likely that Andrej will play for the first team. “ According to Tokoš, Andrej has all the presumptions to improve his performances. „There will be quality around him. He will be practising under better circumstances; will have quality team mates as well as rivals around him. He will play at a stadium that is sold out in advance. Its capacity is to be increased to 26000. “
