The management of Spartak caught another player during the winter transfer window. The playmaker Miroslav Barcik is coming to the club after players Kamesch, Dolezaj and Tomcak. Miroslav transferred from Zilina to Greek Ergotelis Crete in summer 2006. As he didn’t get too many opportunities to play in basic formation, Miroslav and the management came to arrangement to terminate the contract. Teams from Greece, Cyprus and also from Hungary have shown their interest. But finally the ex-captain from Zilina and national team player headed to Spartak Trnava. “The negotiation with Trnava was very quick and effective. As we accomplished an agreement relatively quickly, the player signed a contract with Trnava for one year,” said player’s agent Jozef Tokos said this news about the transfer. The player by himself wasn’t hiding eagerness: “I didn’t want to wait and the offer from Trnava was very serious. I am looking forward to enjoying the environment in Trnava, great fans and the renovated stadium.” And what does Trnava’s coach Jozef Suran think about the new enforcement? “Barcik should be a real reinforcement for our team. He has very good technical skills, strong shoots and he can play at different posts. Despite the fact that he didn’t appear in basic formation too many times in previous 6 months, he definitely didn’t forget to play football. I am sure, that he will help the club with his skills and young players will make progress.”
