Two vastly experienced Slovakian footballers - central back Branislav Labant (born on 11.5.1976) from MŠK Žilina and defensive midfielder Radoslav Kral (born on 18.2.1974) from MFK Košice, have changed the club. They are going to play for FC Viktoria Zizkov in the second Czech league. “The management of the club expects that they will be key players. They are expected to meet the priority target of FC Viktoria, which is a promotion to the first Czech Gambrinus league. Labant and Kral have signed a contract with Zizkov with an option for two years,” said for SITA agency licensed agent Jozef Tokos, who has been representing both players. The older one from the mentioned footballers, 32 years old participant in OG 2000 in Sydney Radoslav Kral played in Zilina, in the 1st FC Kosice, in Hungarian Zalaegerszeg, in Ruzomberok and in the spring helped MFK Kosice to promote to the highest Slovakian competition. “The management of Kosice offered Radoslav a prolongation of his contract with refined conditions. However, the player did not accept it,” informed Jozef Tokos. He also informed about 30 years old Labant, the former Slovakian national team player with seven caps: ”Branislav’s contract with Žilina expired. The management of the club didn’t take the option, so obviously he has become a free player. He decided to accept the conditions in Viktoria, where he is supposed to help manage the defence.” There will be several Slovaks in Viktoria in the new season 2006/07; a goalkeeper from Inter Bratislava Peter Bartalsky, a sports director Milan Lesicky and a sport trainer Milan Skokan from Zilina. FC Viktoria will start the new season in Opava. The first game of the 2nd Czech Gambrinus league is to be played on the 5th of August 2006.
