Barcik is practising with Saturn

The Slovakian legion in Saturn will might be increased by a former player of MSK Zilina Miroslav Barcik. Apart from the offensive player of Artmedia Branislav Fodrek whose transfer to the Russian club is almost done, Barcik travelled together with the Saturn head coach Vladimir Weiss to the training camp in Flachau, Austria. Apart from the practise sessions, Barcik should also play two friendly games – on Thursday with the Cypriot side APOEL Nicosia and on Saturday with the Austrian club FC Kärnten. „I can confirm this piece of info,“ said Barcik´s agent Jozef Tokos. He also added: „There are clubs from 5 countries interested in Miroslav. There is no problem concerning his transfer because he agreed with Zilina on the termination of his previous contract. He will be practising with Saturn by the end of the week. Then he should get back home, but there is a possibility that he stays with the Russian club.“ Apart from Zilina, Barcik played for the Turkish club Göztepe Izmir in 2001. He has 4 national team caps. If he joins Saturn, the number of Slovaks in the club will be increased to 8 (apart from him players Fodrek, Obžera, Jakubko, Ján Ďurica, Peter Petráš and coaches Weiss and Hipp).
