Labant leaves Žilina
Zdroj: SITABranislav Labant, a former captain of footballers of MŠK Žilina, is going to leave the club in the summer. In the spring part of the highest Slovakian league 2005/2006 he played in 6 matches only, in two of them just for a few minutes as a substitute at the end of the match. Labant wasn’t used to play that little. “Firstly, I took it as normal, because we have a broad squad and just 11 of us can play. Especially, there is a rivalry among central backs. The other players who played well got their chances so there wasn’t a reason to change anything. But gradually I saw, everything was not all right. I didn’t get a chance at all. And when I wasn’t classified even into wider nomination for match, it means among 18 players, I guessed it wasn’t about weak performances only,” said for Žilina's evening paper Branislav Labant. Stories about his walk off went already before a year. Finally he made an agreement about a one-year contract with a one-year option with MŠK. Management of Žilina's club probably won't take the option about Branislav Labant. “I can say that my time has come. I felt, they won't need me in the club from the summer anymore. Those players who will remain in Žilina in the next season got their chances. I have spoken with my agent Tokoš about this, of course. I am also consulting my own sources. We are thinking also about abroad for sure. I would like to try to play abroad,” added for Žilina's evening paper 30- year-old Labant, who played seven times for A-team of Slovakia.
