English top club wants our national team no. 1 goalie

The Slovak football national team goalie playing for the Polish side Legia Warsaw is under focus of the famous English big club Arsenal London. According to the internet site www.mercato365.com, a scout of gunners was scouting the Slovak national team no. 1 goalie in the recent big game of the Polish league Wisla Krakow vs Legia Warsaw (0:1). „More English clubs are interested in Jan Mucha, I can not disclose anything now,“ said for the Economic Daily his agent Jozef Tokos.

England is a priority

A transfer to the English Premier League would be a dream coming true for Mucha. Among others, Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus and the French club Stade Rennais are interested in him. „If I am to choose a foreign league, I will go to England. It is the competition of my dreams. Of course, other competitions are of very high quality, but the Premier League is something special,“ said the former goalie of Inter Bratislava and Zilina. Paradoxically, the second goalie of Arsenal is Lukasz Fabianski. Fabianski was the number 1 at Legia Warsaw at the time when the Slovak goalie joined the club.

Legia offered a new contract

According to his agent, it is sure for 99 per cent that Mucha leaves Poland in the winter. „I reckon the remaining 1 per cent is the case he picks up an injury. Nothing is sure, but he is leaving Legia in the winter,“ claims Tokos despite the fact that the management of Legia has recently come up with a new offer for the Slovakian daily with a monthly salary 250k euro. „It is an interesting offer getting closer to what I expect, but I will postpone my final decision,“ said Mucha to the Polish Daily Przeglad Sportowy. The management of the Polish club changed its mind and wants to retain our goalie in the squad. „The management acted in a superb way, they offered me a big contract. I admit, I did not expect it after first talks,“ added Mucha.
