According to a chart to be published by Deloitte, Real Madrid is the football club with the world highest revenues.

The English football top club Manchester United lost the status of the club with highest revenues in the world. The prestigious chart published every year by  Deloitte reads that Man United was dethroned by  Real Madrid.  According to the data available for the Economic Daily one day before the official release of numbers, the revenues of Manchester United dropped by 10 million euro last year to 666 million euro for the season. There was the decrease of revenues for the second year in a row.  „If Manchester had achierved good sports results and at the same time the exchange rate pound to euro had not weakened, the revenues would have grown. That was the expectation,“ Jozef Tokos, sports analyst and football intermediary said to the Economic Daily. The uncertainty caused by the looming brexit and the unstable exchange rate of pound have very much influenced the results of top British clubs in comparison with top clubs in the eurozone. Deloitte used the average exchange rate one pound - 1,13 euro for the evaluation of the season 2017/2018 within the financial year ending in June 2018. One year later the situation changed. The expectations for softer, postponed or even cancelled brexit strengthen the British pound. The most optimistic forecasts by UniCredit Bank the exchange rate might be around 1,23 euro for the pound. That would mean more than 60 million euro more for Manchester United in the chart.
