There were rumors that Miroslav Barcik could leave from Zilina during the winter transfer window. His departure was rumoured in relation to the Polish side Groclin Grodzisk, which is coached by Dusan Radolsky from Slovakia. However, an offensive midfielder finally aimed at the Scottish first league club Dunfermline Athletics. A licensed player’s agent Jozef Tokos joined him at the test. “About 30 centimeters of snow have fallen,” an agent started with news. But we turned the discussion into the most important issue - Barcik.

What did he undertake in Scotland, already?

“The trial is supposed to last four days. Miroslav practised with the team in the gym, since the pitch is covered by snow. In the Tuesday evening, we watched a repeated Cup match, in which Dunfermline played against a fourth league East Fife. On Thursday, he will have a training and negotiations with the management of the club.”

Is it possible that he will stay in the team?

“It is too early to talk about that, but there is definitely the interest. Also the fact that he has got an invitation makes it obvious. It is not an ordinary trial, but more an introduction to the club. And I am optimistic. Barcik introduced himself in a good manner, so I believe, that he has a real opportunity to stay in the club.”

Would it be a loan or a transfer?

“He has a valid contract with Zilina, so this issue depends on an agreement of parties involved. I don’t dare to say what money could be involved in the case of Barcik.”

Does the management of the Scottish club test also other football players?

“No, they don’t. Only Barcik has been invited. Dunfermline is a family club, it would like to come back to the top of the league. And it is Barcik who should help in achieving this goal, as well. ”
