After several trials in foreign clubs a Slovak football player Radoslav Kral will play in the first Slovakian “Corgon” league, finally. The 30-years old former player of Zilina, 1. FC Kosice and Hungarian Zalaegerszeg became a new player of MFK Ruzomberok. “The decision about Rado’s playing in Ruzomberok was made on Friday, though he had been practising with the squad under Ivan Hucko, team’s head coach, since Wednesday. Kral and the Ruzomberok management agreed on the terms of a one-year contract till the summer 2005 without an option to prolong it. Coaches want him for the post of a defensive midfielder,” said Jozef Tokos, a player’s agent for the SITA press agency and added: “In the Zalaegerszeg, Rado’s contract ended on the 30th June 2004 and he has been a free agent since then. In general, a professional football player without a contract does not have to transfer within the transfer window, which was now from the 1st July to the 11th August. That was the Kral’s case. All parties engaged were satisfied with the terms of the transfer. If the Ruzomberok management manages to arrange all necessary documents and administrative issues, Rado will be able to play for the MFK in the Saturday match of the 4th round against Spartak Trnava.”

Several clubs were interested in Radoslav Kral, a participant in the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney. In February, he was tested by the Swedish Trelleborg, than by Randers FC, the newcomer in the Danish highest league and also by the Iran second-league club FC Ogab Tehran (finally two other Slovaks – a goalkeeper Miroslav Hyll and a forward Miroslav Kozak will stay there for a year). Artmedia Bratislava was interested as well and recently he has practised with the Cyprus team Paralimni in Austria. The final decision in Kral’s case was made after the agreement with Ruzomberok on Friday.
