The Slovak national football player Tomas Oravec signed a one-year contract with a one-year option with the Austrian bundes league club Herold Admira Wacker on Wednesday. On Thursday, the best goal scorer of the last season of Viktoria Zizkov will join the practice of the Mödling club.

“Tomas watched the friendly game of Admira with Rotor Volgograd on Wednesday and from Thursday he will practice with the team. He had a hard day, because a night before the Wednesday he had come back from holidays and traveled by car from Kosice. Tomas is satisfied with his transfer and he is looking forward to playing for the Austrian club,” said a licensed players agent Jozef Tokos, the representative of the national player of the Slovak Republic with seven caps.

Admira will next play with FC Brno, Hungarian Sopron and Polish Groclin Grodzisk, which is coached by Dusan Radolsky. In the first round of the bundes league, Admira will play with Austria Wien, where another Slovakian national player Vladimir Janocko is playing. “Christian Trupp, the Admira manager, mentioned that Janocko has been already hunting Tomas’s phone number. He is looking forward to playing against his former team-mate in the first round,” added Tokos as a curiosity. Oravec will spend first days in a hotel. He has also still duties towards Zizkov, to which he has to give back the car.

Oravec came to Viktoria in January 2002 from Ruzomberok with the reputation of a well-known goal scorer. In his first season he scored three times and in the season 2002/2003, in spite of the bad injury and six-months convalescence, he scored eight times. In the last season the Slovak goal scorer scored five times, but even those did not help to save Viktoria in the highest league. Also Sparta Praha and Banik Ostrava were interested in Oravec in the winter, three years ago he took tests in the Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyjev.
