Oravec transfers from Zizkov to Admira Mödling

A Slovak football national player Tomáš Oravec is going to wear the Austrian first league club Admira Mödling’s jersey in the next season. The 23 years old forward, whose contract with the present employer Viktoria Zizkov expires on the 30th June 2004, signed a contract with the 6th team of the last season of the T-Mobile bundes league on Wednesday. This contract was signed for one season with a one-year option for the club.

“Negotiations were very sound, though a bit long since I endeavoured to deal with all details of important parts of the contract,” claimed Oravec’s manager Jozef Tokos, from the sports marketing agency P.L.A.Y.

“Last week we negotiated in Bratislava for three hours and a half, today we finalized other details right in Mödling. In last hours, Tomas took a real traveling marathon. Yesterday evening he came back from the holidays to Kosice, from there he moved to Bratislava by a car and then to Mödling. The contract was signed at about lunchtime. In the evening he is going to take lactate tests yet and to watch the friendly game of his team with Volgograd.”

During the first week, the Slovak forward will live in a hotel. Then an apartment will be provided to him by the new club.. On Monday he will yet hand in a car to his former club in Prague. The Slovak goal scorer’s first match in the Admira’s jersey should be the opening match of the new season of the highest Austrian league Austria - Mödling.

Tomas Oravec transferred to Victoria during the winter break in the season 2001/2002 from Ruzomberok. A national player of the Slovak Republic with seven caps played 53 matches in the highest Czech league, in which he scored 16 times. Besides Admira, also clubs from Spain and Germany were interested in the former Kosice player.
