Herold Admira Wacker, the 6th team of the last season of the Austrian bundes league, showed an eminent interest in the Slovak national football player Tomas Oravec. The contract of the 23 years old forward with Viktoria Zizkov expires on the 30th June and in the case of signing the contract, he will come to Admira as a free agent.

“I can confirm the Admira’s interest that is in the present, on the level of a pre-negotiated contract,” said the licensed manager Jozef Tokos, the representative of the national player of the Slovak Republic with seven caps.

Oravec should stay in the Admira for one season a one-year option. “That is the preliminary agreement, we discussed all important aspects of the possible transfer. Tomas is right now on holidays; the concept of the contract is on the table. I suppose that during the next week we will finalize everything,” concluded J. Tokos.

Oravec came to Viktoria in January 2002 from Ruzomberok with the reputation of the well-known goal scorer. In his first season he scored three times and in the season 2002/2003, in spite of a bad injury and six-months convalescence, he scored eight times. In the last season the Slovak goal scorer scored five goals, but even those did not help to save Viktoria in the highest league. Also Sparta Praha and Banik Ostrava were interested in Oravec in the winter, three years ago he took tests in the Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyjev.
